The Permanent Mission of Uruguay has the honour to transmit the following notification supplementing the information contained in document IP/N/1/URY/2 (TRIPS Articles 70.8, 70.9, and 63.2): The Uruguay legislation governing the concession of exclusive marketing rights (EMR) for the products referred to in Articles 70.8 and 70.9 of the TRIPS Agreement is as follows: - Law No. 16,671 of 13 December 1994 incorporating the TRIPS Agreement into Uruguayan substantive law, which thus became national law; - Law No. 15,441 of 26 July 1983 on the authentication and translation of documents; - General Code of Procedures (Law No. 15,982), in particular, precautionary, provisional or advance measures (Article 311 and following Articles); and - Decree No. 500/91, as applicable, and in particular Articles 15, 20, 23, 24, 56, 63, 66, 75, 78, 106 and 119.
