280. The representative of Rwanda associated herself with the statements made by Zambia on behalf of the LDC Group, Uganda, Rwanda and Senegal. Commenting on paragraphs of the draft decision that her delegation was particularly concerned about, she said that she did not see the need to link technical assistance under Article 67 to the extension of the transition period. If, however, this link was to be made, she would have preferred to also mention Article 66.2 in this context. Her delegation was also concerned about paragraph 5 of the draft decision, which she believed reduced the policy space available for LDCs during the transition period. However, her delegation could nonetheless accept the draft decision in its current form as a compromise.
