In proposing the agenda for adoption, the Chairman said that item K on "Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights (Part III of the Agreement) – Communication from the United States (IP/C/W/488)" had been put on the proposed agenda at the written request of the delegation of the United States, dated 26 January 2007. He proposed that the Council adopt the agenda as proposed.
