39. The Chairman recalled that, at its meeting in March 2006, the Council had agreed to maintain its present method of work on these matters, and to keep this method under review to assess whether any change might prove appropriate in the light of developments. He therefore suggested that the Council continue its past practice of discussing these three agenda items together on the basis of the contributions by Members. He informed the Council that, since its meeting in February 2007, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela had requested to be added to the list of co-sponsors of the disclosure proposal circulated as document IP/C/W/474 (issued with the joint symbols WT/GC/W/564/Rev.2 and TN/C/W/41/Rev.2). Addendum 3 to that document had been issued to this effect. In addition, Norway had provided its responses to a number of questions posed to it by Switzerland in writing, which had been circulated in document IP/C/W/491 (issued with the joint symbols WT/GC/111 and TN/C/W/46). He recalled that, at its meeting in October 2006, the Council had had before it a new communication from Peru (document IP/C/W/484) that provided comments in relation to an earlier communication from the United States in document IP/C/W/469. At the Council's meeting in February 2007, some delegations had indicated that, due to the absence of the Peruvian delegation at that meeting, they had wished to defer their comments on that document until the present meeting.
