The representative of Uganda, speaking on behalf of the LDC Group in the WTO, said that the LDC Group supported the contents of paragraph 2 of the Decision and the steps undertaken by Uganda and Sierra Leone in conducting their priority needs assessments. More LDCs were in the process of carrying out their needs assessments. She requested that, once the priority needs had been submitted, the developed country partners live up to their obligations by providing the required technical and financial assistance for the LDCs to develop the necessary infrastructure, to enable them to achieve the necessary technological base that would set the ground for their compliance.
