337. The Chairman said that, by means of a communication dated 11 May 2010, India had requested consultations with the European Union and a member State regarding seizure of generic drugs in transit (document IP/D/28). The following Members had requested to join these consultations: Canada, Brazil, Ecuador, Turkey, China and Japan (documents WT/DS408/2 7, respectively). 338. Furthermore, by means of a communication dated 12 May 2010, Brazil had requested consultations with the European Union and a member State regarding seizure of generic drugs in transit (document IP/D/29). The following Members had requested to join these consultations: Canada, Ecuador, India, Turkey, China and Japan (documents WT/DS409/2 7, respectively). 339. As regards the status of acceptances of the Protocol Amending the TRIPS Agreement, he said that, since the Council's meeting in March, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia had deposited its instrument of acceptance on 16 March 2010 (document WT/Let/671). The Secretariat had circulated an update to the note on the status of acceptances of the Protocol in document IP/C/W/490/Rev.6. He encouraged those Members that had not yet notified their acceptance of the Protocol to ensure that necessary measures were being taken in their capitals to allow the consideration of the acceptance in a timely fashion.
