In proposing the agenda for adoption, the Chairman said that item M on "Australia: Tobacco Plain Packaging Bill 2011 and Its Compatibility with the TRIPS Agreement" had been put on the proposed agenda at the written request of the delegation of the Dominican Republic. Item N on "IP Enforcement Trends" had been put on the agenda at the written request of the delegations of Australia, Canada, the European Union, Japan, Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, Switzerland and the United States.
