51. According to the representatives of Switzerland and Australia, duplication should be avoided of the work done by other organizations, in particular WIPO. The representative of New Zealand said that the Council should consider how to make best use of cooperation with other intergovernmental organizations, especially with WIPO, in this regard. The representatives of the European Communities, Norway and Australia drew attention to the usefulness of the resources of WIPO for technical cooperation. The representatives of the European Communities and Norway said that these resources were indirectly financed mostly from developed countries.
