The representative of the United States said that, just as fulfilment of the obligation under Article 70.8, fulfilment of the obligation under Article 70.9 had to be notified to the Council for TRIPS. He appreciated that under Moroccan law, as under the law of many other Members, international obligations were automatically incorporated into domestic law. It would be helpful if Members would notify any relevant provisions of the Constitution or Statute relating to this principle of direct applicability. In addition, administrative provisions implementing the principle would need to be notified.
