The representative of Turkey referred to the philosophy behind the provisions on geographical indications in the Agreement and expressed support for the proposals from the European Community, in particular concerning the definition of geographical indications, as well as those from India and Switzerland concerning the extension of the additional protection for wines and spirits to other products.
