The representative of Hong Kong, China informed the Council that his Government was organizing a regional symposium in conjunction with WIPO, entitled "Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights under the TRIPS Agreement", to be held in Hong Kong, China in the middle of 1998. It was his understanding that WIPO would contact the WTO Secretariat to arrange for a suitable speaker from the Secretariat to attend the Symposium.
