The representative of Korea expressed support for the thrust of what had been said by the Australian delegation, especially with respect to the nature of the multilateral system of notification and registration. Korea shared the concerns expressed by Australia. The discussion on the multilateral system should be conducted with due respect to Members' own legal frameworks, which varied from Member to Member. Participation might be limited in a system that did not take account of particular situations in individual Members. He was looking forward to the proposal announced by the European Communities.
