I REVIEW OF THE APPLICATION OF THE PROVISIONS OF THE SECTION ON GEOGRAPHICAL INDICATIONS UNDER ARTICLE 24.2
90. Responding to queries from the floor, the representative of the Secretariat said that the proposed agenda for a meeting that was circulated in the airgram convening the meeting was drawn up on the basis of items which the Council had agreed to discuss together with any items that had been suggested for inclusion by any Member. It was the Secretariat's practice in regard to the Council for TRIPS to include in the airgram a specific provision inviting any Member wishing an additional item to be placed on the proposed agenda to inform the Secretariat of this sufficiently in advance so that a revised airgram could be issued ten calendar days prior to the meeting – the deadline established by the Council's Rules of Procedures. These Rules of Procedure further specified that "requests for items to be placed on the agenda of the forthcoming meeting shall be communicated to the Secretariat in writing, together with the accompanying documentation to be issued in connection with that item".
