Ambassador Eduardo Pérez Motta (Mexico)
B FOLLOW-UP TO REVIEWS ALREADY UNDERTAKEN
50. The Chairman expressed his concern about the fact that the Council had not made any progress on the follow-up to reviews already undertaken since its meeting in November/December. This might have been due to the short period of time between the two meetings and also the holiday season. He noted that there was sufficient time before the Council's next meeting scheduled for 3 5 June to provide responses to the remaining questions. He hoped that those Members that did not have adequate resources would request technical assistance that would enable them to provide responses to the outstanding questions posed to them. 51. He said that the Secretariat note also listed five Members, namely Argentina, Dominica, Gabon, Ghana and Guyana, whose reviews had already been deleted from the Council's agenda on the understanding that any delegation should feel free to revert to any matter stemming from the review at any time. In this connection, certain questions had been raised with regard to the implementing legislation of these countries.
