The Chairman recalled that, at the Council's meeting in March 2002, his predecessor had noted that a substantial number of suggestions for topics to be considered under Article 71.1 review had been made prior to the Doha Ministerial Conference, but some of them overlapped with other items on the Council's post-Doha agenda. In considering how to organize its work, the Council had invited Members to submit ideas for issues to be taken up under this agenda item by the June 2002 meeting, without prejudice to the right of Members to submit ideas at a later stage. To date, no suggestions had been tabled by any Members.
