The Chairperson recalled that she had held informal consultations on what action the TRIPS Council should take pursuant to the General Council Decision of 1 August 2004 on the Doha Work Programme (WT/L/579), in particular in regard to its provisions relating to special and differential treatment, and non-violation and situation complaints in the area of TRIPS.
