116. The Chairperson recalled that Ukraine had become the 152nd Member of the WTO on 16 May 2008. In paragraph 470 of the Report of the Working Party on the Accession of Ukraine (WT/ACC/UKR/152), the representative of Ukraine had stated that Ukraine would apply the provisions of the TRIPS Agreement no later than the date of its accession to the WTO, without recourse to any transitional periods.
117. Regarding the status of acceptances of the Protocol Amending the TRIPS Agreement that was done at Geneva on 6 December 2005, she informed that since the Council's meeting in March, the following Members had deposited their instruments of acceptance: Mauritius on 16 April; Egypt on 18 April; and Mexico on 23 May (documents WT/Let/619, 617, and 620, respectively).
