The representative of Canada said that, in the processes of legislative review conducted under other bodies of the WTO, his delegation had notified its laws, and amendments to those laws, existing at the time that the notification was required. However, in order to facilitate the transparency of the notification, subsequently a consolidated text of the appropriate Canadian law had been submitted. His delegation intended to follow the same procedure in relation to its notification under Article 63.2. He expected consolidated texts to be available shortly. However, his delegation did not wish to interfere with the time-table set forth for the review of legislation and would submit the copyright legislation in its current form if a consolidated text would not be available in time.
