The representative of the United States thanked the delegation of Ecuador for having provided the clarification contained in document IP/C/W/74 of the issue that had arisen regarding Ecuador's terms of accession. His delegation was pleased to see that the Government of Ecuador had indicated that the substantive provisions of the TRIPS Agreement had become applicable to Ecuador according to the terms of the accession agreement.
