75. The representative of the United States informed the Council that her delegation, by means of a communication dated 9 January 1998, had requested the establishment of a panel in disputes IP/D/8 and IP/D/12, on its complaints against Ireland and the European Communities regarding measures in Ireland affecting the grant of copyright and neighbouring rights, but had withdrawn this request for the establishment of a panel as a result of further consultations.
