12. The Chairperson recalled that, after the review meeting in May 1998, answers to initial questions had remained outstanding from Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Romania and South Africa. The Secretariat had received the texts of most of the outstanding responses from all these delegations. Only a number of responses from South Africa still remained outstanding.
