The Chairperson recalled that, at the Council's meeting of 19 September1997, the Chair had informed the Council that the DSB had established a panel pursuant to requests by Japan, the European Communities and the United States concerning measures affecting the automobile industry in Indonesia. The United States complaint in this case referred to, inter alia, Articles 3, 20 and 65 of the TRIPS Agreement (see document IP/D/6). The report of this panel had been circulated to WTO Members on 2 July 1998 and was available in a document with multiple symbols, including WT/DS59/R.
