On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, I wish to notify the Council for TRIPS that Indonesia intends to avail itself of its right under Article 65.2 of the TRIPS Agreement to delay for a further period of four years, beginning 1 January 1996, the date of application of that Agreement. Furthermore, for the sake of transparency and pursuant to Article 63.2, I would also like to inform the Council that Indonesia had already communicated the laws and regulations pertaining to the subject matter of the TRIPS Agreement to the International Bureau of WIPO prior to the entry into force of the WTO Agreement.
