The Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Morocco to the United Nations Office at Geneva and other International Organizations in Switzerland presents its compliments to the World Trade Organization and has the honour to submit Morocco's notification under Article 70, paragraphs 8 and 9 of the Agreement on Trade-Related Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS). 1. The Moroccan Intellectual Property Office, which comes under the authority of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Crafts, is the body responsible for receiving applications for the protection of industrial property titles, including patents. The Moroccan Industrial Property Office is the body responsible for receiving all kinds of applications for patents, including product patents. 3. Morocco will avail itself of the right to delay for four years, as from 1 January 1996, the entry into force of the TRIPS Agreement, in accordance with the provisions of Article 65.2.
