27. Please explain whether or not plants, animals and essentially biological processes are excluded from patentability in your legislation. If so, please explain the relevant section of your legislation and explain its formulation.

4. Answer

Plants or animal research, or biological processes for the production of plants or animals, are excluded from the patentability under the 1992 Patent Law No. 44, whereas microbiological processes and related products are not (Article 6).
