186. The representative of Australia said that intense work could be useful, but it was not clear on what basis inter-sessional work could take place. His delegation had come to this meeting prepared to give some comfort regarding the content of the joint proposal and the meaning of "consulting" the register, but it had not seen a great deal of interest by other delegations in exploring that issue. A legal text from the proponents of TN/C/W/52 would be an excellent basis for more intense engagement.
The Special Session took note of the statements made.
