181. The Chairman said that he would not want the work of the Special Session to go faster than any other negotiating group in the DDA, particularly as it was broadly considered that certain other groups should lead in this round. At the same time he invited Members to help keep the right pace to ensure that all issues would be properly clarified in good time. 182. With respect to future work, he said he would invite further discussion on the four questions he had distributed by fax on 9 June 2009 and on any additional questions he might find relevant. The questions were intended as a mechanism to focus discussion capable of pointing towards some common ground. In his view, there certainly were areas where there had been some comfort that consensus could emerge. He encouraged Members to continue the dialogue and to include at the next meeting comments on the four questions mentioned.
The Special Session took note of the statements made.
