The representative of the European Communities reverted to the suggestions made by the representative of Malaysia which required the notifying country to provide the GI in all three official languages of the WTO, and possibly in the language of the country that had to examine the name. He said that, if this could facilitate the task of examining authorities in developing countries, his delegation would certainly explore and consider it, and would also invite other delegations to do the same.
