101. The representative of the European Communities said that his delegation had not yet made any decision on the number of GIs to be notified. He stressed again that his delegation had always been prepared to find ways and means to ensure that the system work swiftly without causing any major disruption or any unbearable cost to developing countries. His delegation urged delegations to come up with proposals on ways and means of setting up a system that could work to the benefit of all Members.
