The representative of the United States associated his delegation with the remarks made by Australia with regard to the fact that the proposals made by the EC and other delegations in many respects did impose additional obligations despite their assurances, for example the time-limit for opposition as well as the reversal of the burden of proof mentioned by the Swiss delegation.
