63. The representative of Indonesia supported constructive reflections and discussions of patentability of life forms in the context of review of Article 27.3(b). He highlighted the importance of preventing misappropriation and misuse of genetic resources, traditional knowledge and folklore and supported the disclosure proposal. He said that the deliberation in the Council could not be separated from the development in other forums and that all the relevant forums should be complementary to each other.
