Mr. Martin Glass (Hong Kong, China)
C; D; E REVIEW OF THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 27.3(b); RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE TRIPS AGREEMENT AND THE CONVENTION ON BIOLOGICAL DIVERSITY; PROTECTION OF TRADITIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND FOLKLORE
73. The representative of Mauritius said that his delegation, together with the ACP Group, had shown the spirit of compromise on three TRIPS issues, especially the TRIPS/CBD issue. Document TN/C/W/52 reflected his delegation's stand. While he appreciated the useful consultations held by the Director General, technical discussions had been exhausted and political will and concrete action was now needed. He urged the Director General to accelerate the consultative process and to mainstream positive results in a broad process.
