5. In response to a question from the representative of Canada, the Chairperson said that on the basis of ad hoc observer status, as opposed to regular observer status, the WHO could attend meetings of the TRIPS Council until the Council decided otherwise.
6. The Chairperson asked Members to indicate whether they would be ready to grant observer status to the 14 other intergovernmental organizations whose requests were pending.
