6. Brief description
Amendments were made on regulations on Trademarks Ineligible for Trademark Registration, etc. In the previous system, a filed trademark could not be granted when it is identical or similar to a previously registered trademark of another person based on the first-to-file principle. The new system allows a grant to such a trademark with the consent of the holder of the previously registered trademark.
