6. Brief description

The Regulation enables the customs authorities to enforce the provisions of Article 57 of Customs Law Nº 4458. It regulates, inter alia, the form of application, action to be taken by the customs authorities prior to and after a suspensive decision, action for goods found infringing. N.B.: Prior to Customs Law Nº 4458, amended Article 21 of Law Nº 1615 and inserted Section Seven of the regulation on its implementing provisions, which provides parallel provisions on suspensive arrangements, except ex officio action, have been in force as from 1 January 1996.
