338. The Chairperson said that, at its meeting of 15 February, the General Council had taken note of the slate of names for the appointment of chairpersons for WTO bodies. On the basis of the understanding reached, he proposed that the Council for TRIPS elect H.E. Ambassador Eduardo Pérez Motta of Mexico as its Chairperson for the coming year by acclamation.
