The Chairman proposed that, in order to have a more systematic discussion on this topic at the Council's meeting in September, he would prepare a checklist of issues taking into consideration the points raised in the discussion. At that meeting, the Council should consider not only the substance of the matter but also how it should report to the TNC by the end of the year. Furthermore, he proposed that the Secretariat be requested to circulate to Members the report of the eight session of the WIPO Standing Committee on the Law of Trademarks, Industrial Designs and Geographical Indications, held on 27-31 May 2002, once it became available.
