The Chairman recalled that, at the Council's meeting in March 2002, the previous Chairman had noted that a substantial number of suggestions for topics to be considered under the Article 71.1 review had been made prior to the Doha Ministerial Conference, but some of them had overlapped with other items on the Council's post-Doha agenda. In considering how to organize its work, the Council had invited Members to submit ideas for issues to be taken up under this agenda item by the present meeting, without prejudice to the right of Members to submit ideas at a later stage. To date, no suggestions had been tabled by any Members.
