L OTHER OUTSTANDING IMPLEMENTATION ISSUES (TIRETS 93 AND 94 AND PROPOSAL BY LDCS ON THEIR TRANSITION PERIOD)
291. The Chairman said that the Council had covered most of the outstanding implementation issues under the previous agenda items and recalled that the remaining outstanding implementation issues referred to in paragraph 13 of the Doha Decision on Implementation-Related Issues and Concerns were the following: - Tiret 93: The transitional period for developing countries provided for in Article 65.2 shall be extended. - Proposal by Least-Developed Countries, 22 October 2001: The General Council agrees that the transition period for LDCs shall be extended so long as they retain the status of an LDC. - Tiret 94: Articles 7 and 8 of the TRIPS Agreement to be operationalized by providing for transfer of technology on fair and mutually advantageous terms. 292. He said that he intended to consult with Members prior to the Council meeting in November 2002 on the way in which the Council should report to the Trade Negotiations Committee by the end of this year.
