H REVIEW UNDER PARAGRAPH 8 OF THE DECISION ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF PARAGRAPH 6 OF THE DOHA DECLARATION ON THE TRIPS AGREEMENT AND PUBLIC HEALTH

218. The representative of the European Communities informed the TRIPS Council that his delegation expected the Council of the European Union and the European Parliament to reach soon an agreement on the draft regulation proposed by the European Commission. This would allow the adoption of legislation implementing the Decision prior to the Hong Kong Ministerial Conference.
