The representative of the European Communities said that, while there seemed to be a view in the Council that "road maps" would have a certain degree of usefulness in order to find one's way in a complex system of national legislation, he wished to underline that, at all times that this issue had been discussed, it had been made clear that there was no legal obligation under the TRIPS Agreement to provide such "road maps".
