While supporting the proposal of the European Communities for an eventual and systematic review, the representative of the United States said that his delegation had received expressions of concern and interest from United States' industries concerning specific Members relevant to implementation of Articles 70.8 and 70.9, which his delegation was intending to pursue on a bilateral basis. Moreover, as his delegation had mentioned many times before in the Council, many of the notifications made by Members relating to these provisions did not mention measures taken to implement the obligations under Article 70.9 concerning exclusive marketing rights.
