As regards the consultations on practical arrangements for the reviews of the national implementing legislation of other developing country Members, the Chairperson said that he had been consulting on this matter, in particular about whether the reviews should be organized on a subject-by-subject basis, or by dividing the work between groups of countries. Some delegations had indicated their particular preference and he urged as many delegations as possible to inform him or the Secretariat of their views on this matter in the weeks ahead, so that he would be in a position to put to the Council a suggestion for a schedule of reviews early in 1999.
