The representative of Brazil said that his delegation, like that of New Zealand, was not convinced of the necessity for a synopsis, at least at this stage of the negotiations, if, since not all Members had notified responses to the Checklist, it would be difficult to provide a balanced picture. Therefore, his delegation was of the view that the Council should devote more time to the analysis of each of the responses on its own merits, so as to allow their proper assessment.
