1. The Chairperson recalled that, in February, the Council had agreed that the review of the TRIPS implementing legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic and Latvia should be taken up at the end of 1999. Both these Members had made comprehensive notifications of their legislation, which were available in the IP/N/1/- and IP/N/6/- series of documents. As agreed at the Council's meeting in April 1999, questions on the legislation of these two Members should be submitted by 30 July 1999, both to the Member concerned and to the Secretariat. In the light of informal consultations that he had held on the Council's meeting schedule for the autumn , he suggested that the responses to such questions should be submitted by 8 October.
