Patent Attorney Act

To ensure persons with disabilities enjoy equal rights to work and the freedom to choose a profession, Article 4, 37, and 40 of the Patent Attorney Act was amended. In the amendments, the provisions stipulating that those who have been certified by a medical doctor commissioned by the Competent Authority to be suffering from a mental disability or other physical or mental impairment that prevents him/her from engaging in professional services shall not practice as a patent attorney or a patent agent, were deleted.
