Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of 15 August 2023 No 859 "On Amendments to the Procedure of Fee Payment for Actions Related to the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights

The aim of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 859 "On Amendments to the Procedure of Fee Payment for Actions Related to the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights" of 15 August 2023 is to update the provisions of the Procedure for the Payment of Fees for Actions Related to the Protection of Rights to Intellectual Property Objects, approved by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1716 of 23.12.2004, taking into account the amendments made in 2019-2020 to special laws in the sphere of intellectual property, in particular to the Laws of Ukraine "On Protection of Rights to Inventions and Utility Models", "On Protection of Rights to Industrial Designs", "On Protection of Rights to Trademarks for Goods and Services", "On Protection of Rights to Semiconductor Product Layouts" and "On Legal Protection of Geographical Indications". Thus, the amendments, in particular:  changed the names of intellectual property rights objects;  introduced new types of fees, to which new fee codes were assigned;  reduced the amount of fees relating to filing applications for intellectual property rights in electronic form;  reduced the amount of fees for non-profit institutions and organisations that are applicants or patent holders for an invention together with inventors.
