[Follow-up question] The answer did not make clear whether national treatment is provided with respect to the private copying levies established by Italian law. Please confirm that all revenues generated from these levies in Italy are distributed on the basis of national treatment to rightholders from all WTO Members, regardless of the type of rightholder.
The private copying levies are paid to the SIAE, which distributes them among authors' and producers' associations; the producers' associations share out 50 per cent of the proceeds they have collected to artists' and performers' associations. There is no discrimination between Italian and foreign rightholders.
