317. The Chairman recalled that, at its meeting in June, the Council had discussed a communication from the European Communities on "Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights" (IP/C/W/448). A number of delegations had said that their comments were only preliminary and that they intended to make further comments after analyzing the paper, and the European Communities had indicated that it intended to reply to some of the comments made on subsequent occasions and that it might make further suggestions relating to the matter.
