171. The representative of Bolivia said that this was a matter of great concern for developing countries. Trade and movement of generic drugs were regulated under the multilateral agreements and should not be dealt with in such a way. Developing countries were generally the ones having to use such generic medicines and for that reason Bolivia believed that measures should be taken to avoid such situations in the future.
